Stefek’s is thrilled to present our Autumn Objects of Virtu: Fine Art, Jewelry, and More Auction. This auction will highlight a magnificent selection of fine jewelry, quality artwork, unique furniture, and desirable décor.
Jewels on offer include a gorgeous Cartier “Riviere” diamond platinum necklace, a stunning Bvlgari 18k yellow gold bangle bracelet, and a classic Van Cleef & Arpels “Alhambra” 18k gold petal necklace. Several other fine jewelry lots include two “Surinam” pieces by Cartier, an 18k gold Tiffany & Co. brooch, a South Sea Pearl platinum diamond necklace and pair of earrings, Art Deco style platinum jewelry, and many more stylish pieces.
A spectacular selection of artwork to include a small-scale bronze sculpture of “Leaping Gazelle” by Marshall M. Fredericks, a unique bronze piece by former Cranbrook Sculpture Department Head Julius Schmidt, a large oil painting by Detroit Cass Corridor artist Brenda Goodman, two large ceramic pieces by Detroit artist Tom Phardel, and unique artwork by Sharon Que, Ronald Leax, Gary Stephan, Tim Mather, Zoltan Sepeshy, Judith Reifsnyder, and more. Curated furniture items in this auction of note consist of a Hans Wegner “Papa Bear” chair, wire side chairs by Harry Bertoia for Knoll, a Sam Larsson for Dux “Fenix” chaise lounge, a set of eight leather Matteo Grassi dining chairs, and a unique set of rosewood dining chairs designed by Kristian Vedel for Soren Wiladsen. Several sterling silver snuff boxes will be on offer, as well as more sterling Tiffany & Co. items, Steuben glass, Baccarat glass, Murano glass, and art glass by Kosta Boda and Leone Panisson.
