This auction features a large collection of mid-century modern furniture, several pieces of jewelry, fine art, and pottery.
Mid-century modern highlights include an Edward Wormley for Dunbar travertine marble coffee table, a Canadian Brutalist-style bedroom suite, and a Warren Platner for Knoll 42″ coffee table. Other notable mid-century pieces by Paul McCobb, Charles and Ray Eames, Thayer Coggin, and d-Scan will be offered. Several furniture pieces by designers for Ligne Roset will be on offer, with designers including Didier Gomez for Ligne Roset and Eric Jourdan.
A highlight of the auction is a gelatin silver photograph by W. Eugene Smith, entitled “Walk to Paradise Garden”. A William de Morgan ceramic lustre fish charger, painted by Fred Passenger will be offered, as well as a Royal Copenhagen Flora Danica Rubus Castoreus Laest plate. A bronze work by Marshall M. Fredericks is featured, as well as several lots of Dedham Pottery dishes. Featured in crystal and glass is a Lalique “Bacchantes” crystal vase.
