Stefek’s Auctioneers & Appraisers’ Modern Design & Eclectic Estate Jewelry Auction highlights fine art, prints, designed furniture, and an array of estate gold and sterling silver jewelry.
The featured category of this auction is the selection of fine art prints: a print from Keith Haring’s “Fertility Series” will be on offer, as well as prints by Jean Dubuffet, Robert Motherwell, Joan Miro, Alex Katz, Victor Pasmore, and Roy Fairchild-Woodard. New additions in paintings include artwork by Richard Kozlow and Richard Jerzy, as well as paintings by Clement Kwan, Richard S. Johnson, and Americo Makk. Mid-century modern furniture of note includes a miniature chest designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller, a three-leg DCM prototype chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames, a T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings “X” Bench for Widdicomb, and a Greta Magnusson Grossman “Grasshopper” lamp. A set of Gio Ponti “Diamond” silverware designed for Reed & Barton will be presented, as well as a set of International Silver Royal Danish silverware, and a unique collection of silver plate from Detroit’s Fisher Building Recess Club. Sets of architectural hardware will be on offer. Over two hundred lots of estate jewelry will be on offer, including two Shinola Detroit watches and a custom 14kt-18kt yellow gold ring with diamonds and rubies.
